Riverfront

This waterfront pool renovation brings a fresh approach to outdoor living, pairing substantial structural changes with carefully selected finishes. Oak Wells Aquatics raised the pool floor to reduce the swimming depth and added a spacious sun shelf with integrated steps, creating a welcoming place to lounge in the water.
Decorative blue tile, a renewed interior finish, and updated decking give the pool a cohesive new look. In-water seating, umbrellas, and a bubbling water feature turn the sun shelf into a natural gathering spot, with the waterfront providing the backdrop.

Designer’s note
- A transformation beneath the surface. Raising the pool floor changes how the space can be enjoyed. Alongside the new sun shelf, the shallower layout creates more opportunities for casual recreation and relaxation.
- A place to linger. The sun shelf combines submerged loungers, umbrella shade, and a bubbler in one space, bringing the comfort of a poolside seating area into the water.
- Pattern gives the pool its personality. Decorative blue waterline tile adds character, while coordinating trim traces the submerged steps and shelf, making their contours part of the design.
- Curves connect old and new. Rounded shelf edges and sweeping steps echo the pool’s existing curves, helping the additions feel integrated with the original architecture.
- A palette that belongs by the water. Pale decking, blue tile, and white loungers create a relaxed setting that complements the home and keeps the waterfront view at the center of the experience.
